Trekking poles should be looked after and serviced like any other piece of your kit if you want them to last. Failure to properly clean poles may result in rust and poles jamming open or closed - a real pain. The best way of cleaning Leki poles is with a brush kit. Simply fit the wire brush to the end of one of the pole sections and thrust it vigorously in and out of the dirty section. Do this for all sections and leave to dry before reassembly. These brushes fit Leki's ultralight range, that is the poles with section diameters of 14mm and 16mm.
