Traditionally, Armada has geared their focus towards a more freestyle-oriented skier, but over the last few years they have been trying to refine a ski that suits a skier with preferences for a hard charging directional ski. The Reliance 92 Ti, sister to the Declivity 92 Ti, is the answer for those skiers. Armada has been able to create a ski that diverges from their deeply-rooted history in the freestyle aspect of our sport while highlighting their playful DNA in the way this ski performs. A light Caruba wood core keeps the weight down and gives the ski a nimble profile despite its power. Two titanal laminates sandwich the core providing vibration damping and overall stability. Armada uses what is called Articulated Titanal Banding wherein the sheet of metal over the core has channels cut out of it which are then filled with a rubber material. What this does is provide an easy entry into the turn and it allows the ski to build up energy as itโs laid on edge then release that energy for a snappy and energetic finish to the turn. Thanks to the camber in the central portion of the ski along with a full sidewall construction, the Reliance 92 Ti provides the precision and unwavering edge hold of a frontside ski while itโs rocker profile and 92-millimeter waist provide plenty of versatility to ski anything at the resort.
